Infographic

Visual storytelling through infographic
Step 1: The Brief - Create a Tech Infographic in 3 hours
The brief had two main challenges: design an infographic without using any existing brand style, and complete it in just 3 hours. Additionally, the text had to remain exactly as provided.

Step 2: Organisation
To meet the 3-hour limit, I broke down and organized the tasks. I kept the branding minimal but focused on creating clear, high-quality content that effectively delivers the message and is clean for print.

Step 3: Infographic Breakdown (30min)
I invested time and energy into simplifying the company’s core message. By understanding the flow and key terms, I could structure the layout clearly and place each element with purpose.

Step 4: Market Analysis (30min)
I explored the brand, competitors, and creative references. While many directions were possible, I chose a clean, corporate style I could complete within the time limit—simple enough for B2B, yet polished for print.

Step 5: Icon Illustration (45min)
I narrowed my creative exploration to one or two key icons, then developed two clear design directions. This helped streamline the process while keeping the visual message strong and focused.

Step 6: Design Direction (1 hour)
With time running out, I chose the simpler, minimal style to ensure I could focus on quality. This allowed me to double-check typos, alignment, and layout before the 3-hour deadline.

Step 7: 3 hours conclusion
Here is the final MUST design concept. It took about 4 hours to complete and is print-ready. While I'm pleased with the icon and clean look, I feel it lacks a strong personality, and the keywords could be more readable.

Step 8: Should (2h)
For my own learning, I continued exploring two very different directions—one retro-tech, one more user-friendly. I feel the right balance lies between the two. I also tested AI tools for support, which gave me a secondary approach, though still lacking strong personality.

Step 9: May - Design Directions Inspirations (30min)
I’m revisiting some basics and past projects. I believe adding a mascot could help the brand stand out and be more recognizable, especially in a market dominated by similar purple, blue, and white color palettes.

Step 10: Branding Offer (2h30)
Finally, here’s an icon mascot representing three optimization tools designed to help you save money while using Databricks.
